Cosmetic Threads are surgical sutures inserted under the skin using a small needle. The threads are biodegradable and dissolve over weeks to months. When placed under the skin, threads function in the wound healing. This results in collagen stimulation, stem cell proliferation, and increased blood vessel formation. Threading these sutures under the skin also allows us to use the exposed end to pull the loose skin taut.
A cosmetic thread procedure can be used to smooth the skin, improve pores, help acne scars, pull loose skin taut, increase skin glow, and improve hair loss. They can be safely used in all skin types and in multiple body areas restoring the smooth, youthful appearance to the scalp, face, neck, decollete (chest canvas), breasts, legs, buttocks, upper arm and midsection.
