Downtime ranges from 1-14 days depending on the type of ingredient used and the skin penetration depth of peel.

​During the procedure, slight discomfort may be caused by temporary itching and or pain. During the downtime period, you may experience redness, scaling, peeling, and itching. Uncommon side effects also include skin blistering, hyperpigmentation, and scarring.

Common peel ingredients include glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, vitamin C, puruvic acid, azelaic acid, trichloro acetic acid, tranexamic acid, kojic acid, and mandelic acid among others.
